You have prescience if you have the ability to imagine or know what will happen in future. If a person claims prescience, they claim that they know future; that they have the ability to imagine or predict what is going to happen in future. Prescience, simply, is the knowledge of the future.
- The leader showed great prescience in anticipating trouble from the rival party. He was able to imagine correctly the next step that the rival party was going to take and prepared his party to face it.
- He showed great prescience in selling his shares. He was somehow sure that the shares would crash and sold them before it could happen.
